West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her willingness to lead the opposition INDIA bloc if given the opportunity, citing dissatisfaction with its current functioning.
In an exclusive interview with News 18 Bangla, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief hinted at her readiness to assume dual responsibilities—heading the opposition alliance while continuing as West Bengal’s chief minister.
“I had formed the INDIA bloc, but it is now up to those leading the front to manage it. If they can’t run the show, what can I do? I believe everyone needs to be taken along,” Banerjee said, underscoring the need for cohesive leadership within the alliance.
This is a developing story.
