MakeMyTrip Partners with Google Cloud to Enhance AI-Powered Travel Planning

MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel platform, has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance its AI-driven trip planning assistant, Myra, delivering faster, more personalized travel experiences for millions of users.

The collaboration leverages Google Cloud’s generative AI capabilities, including GeminiGemmaVeoImagen, and Vertex AI, to make trip planning more intuitive, contextual, and accessible in multiple Indian languages.

Through the integration of Google Maps, Places API, and Search, Myra can now recommend destinations based on traveler preferences—such as adventure, wellness, or culture—while factoring in real-time insights like weather, cuisine, and local trends. Myra also helps users design optimized itineraries around budget and duration, using AI models to deliver dynamic, personalized travel plans.

The platform will also support multimodal interactions, allowing travelers to plan trips through text, voice, or visuals. Imagen and Video models will generate immersive previews, while on-device vernacular voice assistance expands accessibility.

Rajesh Magow, Co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, said the partnership will “simplify travel through personalization at scale.” Karan Bajwa, President, Asia Pacific, Google Cloud, added that AI will “redefine digital travel experiences through innovation and richer content.”

The partnership underscores a major leap in AI-powered digital travel innovation in India.
