GeMmaintains transparency in online procurement of goods & services Government eMarketplace (GeM)

Created in a record time of five months, Government eMarketplaceis a dedicated e-market for different goods & services procured by Government organisations/departments/PSUs. It eases the procurement process. It also enhances transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement, the platform provides the tools of e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation to facilitate the government users, achieve the best value for their money.

GeM is planning to come up with its 4.0 version where over 100 new features will be added in the existing portal to make it more transparent. It will be implemented by September 2020.
