Hexaware Acquires SMC Squared to Launch Next-Gen GCC 2.0 Services for Global Enterprises

Hexaware Technologies has announced the acquisition of SMC Squared, a leading provider of Global Capability Center (GCC) solutions. This strategic move supports Hexaware's vision to offer future-ready GCC models that deliver more than cost efficiency, integrating both human talent and digital automation.

The acquisition aligns with Hexaware's launch of GCC 2.0, a new service line that combines SMC Squared’s deep experience in building and managing GCCs with Hexaware’s advanced platform-based IT capabilities. Together, the companies aim to offer global clients a differentiated value proposition that blends artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and strong governance.

SMC Squared has a proven track record in delivering services through flexible engagement models such as managed services, build-optimize-transfer, and hybrid solutions. These models enable companies to reduce operational costs while building high-performance teams aligned with their core business strategies. With strengths across HR, IT infrastructure, employee experience, finance, and strategic tech consulting, SMC Squared complements Hexaware’s integrated delivery framework.

According to Amrinder Singh, President & Head – EMEA & APAC at Hexaware, the partnership adds significant execution strength and governance capabilities at a time when enterprises demand more than just staffing support—they require full-fledged strategic value from their GCC partners.

The global GCC market is on an upward trajectory, with India's segment projected to surpass $100 billion by 2030. As enterprises shift towards outcome-based delivery models, Hexaware’s expanded capabilities aim to meet rising expectations for scalable and accountable GCC operations.

Patricia Connolly, CEO of SMC Squared, emphasized the expanded global reach the acquisition brings—especially across AI, analytics, cloud, modernization, and enterprise platforms. New delivery centers are also planned for Latin America and increased activity is expected in the UK and Europe.

The combined entity will offer a unified stack of GCC services—spanning advisory, setup, operations, and optimization—strengthened by deep talent, global reach, and execution excellence.
