Lenskart to Launch AI-Powered Smart Glasses by December 2025

Lenskart is preparing to unveil its first AI-powered smart glasses, codenamed “B by Lenskart Smartglasses,” by December 2025, marking its evolution from eyewear retailer to a technology-driven lifestyle brand. Designed to integrate AI and augmented reality (AR), the smart glasses will feature voice-based interactions, real-time health insights, and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) capabilities, blending vision correction with intelligent connectivity and commerce.

Powered by Google’s Gemini 2.5 AI platform and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, the device will enable conversational AI, health tracking, real-time overlays, and hands-free digital payments. The UPI integration, a first of its kind for eyewear, is designed specifically for Indian consumers, enabling secure and effortless transactions through smart gestures and voice commands.

With this launch, Lenskart enters the AI and AR eyewear race, competing with Meta’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and Amazon Echo Frames, but at a more accessible price point. Following its November 2025 IPO, the company is strategically positioning itself as a vision-tech ecosystem brand, investing in AI, extended reality, and computer vision startups to strengthen its innovation pipeline.

Targeting India’s growing base of tech-savvy consumers, the launch aligns with the country’s surge in digital payments and health-focused wearables. Success will hinge on AI responsiveness, comfort, and battery life, but if executed well, Lenskart could redefine eyewear—from simple vision correction to an interactive, AI-enhanced lifestyle device built for the future.
