PM: Google Can Partner with India’s Talent

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a series of high-level meetings with global leaders and industry executives on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, reinforcing India’s growing leadership in artificial intelligence and global technology partnerships.

Among the key engagements was a meeting with Google CEO Sundar Pichai, during which discussions focused on India’s expanding AI ecosystem and opportunities for collaboration.

In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “It was a delight to meet Mr. Sundar Pichai on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in Delhi. Talked about the work India is doing in AI and how Google can work with our talented students and professionals in this field.”

The interaction highlighted India’s emphasis on nurturing AI talent and strengthening collaboration between global technology companies and Indian institutions.

The Prime Minister also held extensive discussions with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, underscoring the strategic significance of the India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA). He thanked Orpo for his support toward advancing the agreement, describing it as ushering in a “golden era” in India–Europe relations.

India and Finland also expressed their shared goal of doubling bilateral trade, aiming to further strengthen economic and technological linkages.

The meetings at the summit reflect India’s broader strategy of positioning itself as a central player in AI innovation, global trade, and digital cooperation.
