Rakul Preet Singh Counters Unverified Plastic Surgery Claims, Warns Against "Fraud" Online

Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh has publicly responded to a viral video in which a man, purporting to be a plastic surgeon, alleged she has undergone significant cosmetic procedures. Singh denounced the claims as baseless and issued a warning about such misleading content.

The controversy began when a video circulated online featuring an individual who identified himself as a cosmetic surgeon. In the clip, he compared older and recent photographs of the actor, asserting that her changed appearance was the result of Botox, fillers, and a rhinoplasty. He further criticized the actor for potentially setting unrealistic beauty standards by attributing her looks solely to fitness.

Addressing the issue directly on Instagram, Rakul Preet Singh shared the video with a strong rebuttal. She labeled it a “fraud alert” and expressed concern over individuals making definitive medical statements without verification.

“It’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people,” the actor wrote in her post.

While clarifying that she respects personal choices regarding cosmetic surgery, Singh emphasized that her own physical transformation is a product of dedicated effort. “Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science, I have no issues if people do surgeries, but there is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that?” she questioned.

She concluded her message by urging her followers to be cautious, writing, “Beware of such ‘doctors’,” and highlighting the dangers of unfounded speculation presented as expert analysis. The incident has sparked a conversation about the prevalence of unsolicited and unverified critiques celebrities face regarding their appearance.
